Accepting Resolution Requests for Proposed Changes to the Constitution through December 17th
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Our 13th International Convention will be held during the summer of 2022. One of our goals is to update, modernize and make our Constitution easier to understand while keeping our purpose and mission intact. If there is any part of the Constitution that you would like to have changed including such things as grammar, punctuation, or inconsistencies, please prepare and submit the resolution and your reason for the change. The Constitution Committee for the 13th International Convention will consider all proposed changes that are received from Lodges and Grand Lodge Officers. All proposed resolutions must be submitted in writing and each must be on a separate sheet of paper (if needed, make copies of the enclosed proposal form) and must be signed by no less than five (5) Members of the Lodge or by a Grand Officer. Resolutions must be received by the International Secretary/Treasurer no later than December 17th 2021, in accordance with our Constitution Section 38 pages 19-20. No proposed changes will be accepted after that. date. After the Constitution Committee reviews all resolutions, they will prepare a report that will be mailed to each Grand Lodge Officer and each Subordinate Lodge Delegate 45 days prior to the convening of the Convention. With regards to the Convention itself, details as to exact date and facility are being determined. Information will be mailed to each delegate as soon as it becomes available. Our Constitution Committee members will be working very hard on behalf of our organization. It is very important that you review the Constitution carefully in order to submit the necessary proposed resolution requests. |

In the last few weeks hundreds of transit workers have been infected with the virus including 35 deaths. There is an immediate and critical need to help protect them.
